Brookwood School is a college-preparatory school for students from four years of age through the twelfth grade. Lower School students learn with iPads and students in grades 5-12 utilize MacBooks. Using a strong academic curriculum and Apple technology, faculty prepare students of all ages to be leaders and lifelong learners in our rapidly evolving world. One example of Brookwood’s STEAM programming in action: fifth graders are challenged to accurately send rockets to specific locations on campus. During the design phase, students create CAD drawings of rocket nose cones, each with its own parameters to fit a given rocket. These designs are then 3D printed, attached to rockets, and tested. The Apple Teacher Learning Center has allowed teachers to complete relevant professional learning through the self-paced portal. Today, 100 percent of Brookwood teachers, teaching assistants, and school leadership are Apple Certified Teachers.
